Emily Garcia

Emily Garcia has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in marketing, communications, and public relations. Emily currently works as a Product Marketer at MIM Software Inc. since 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Communications and Marketing Manager at Bowling Green State University from August 2021 to April 2023. Before that, they were the Sr. Coordinator of Outreach and Training at the same university from February 2018 to August 2021.

Emily also gained experience as the Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator at Imagination Station, Toledo's Science Center from June 2016 to February 2018. Emily worked as a Social Media Consultant for Holly Cipriani's City Council campaign from January 2017 to November 2017. Additionally, they interned as a Public Relations Intern at Imagination Station from August 2015 to December 2015.

Emily's earlier experience includes working as an Office Assistant at Education Abroad & International Partnerships at Bowling Green State University from August 2014 to May 2015. Emily also served as a Social Media and Communications Strategist at Paris Update from April 2012 to September 2013. Additionally, they worked as a Neighborhood Team Leader for Organizing for America from August 2012 to November 2012.

Emily Garcia obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communications and International Studies from Bowling Green State University, where they studied from 2011 to 2015. In 2013, they also participated in programs at Charles University, focusing on Central European Politics and Government, and at The American University of Paris, focusing on International Public Relations.

In 2014, Emily attended Universitat d'Alacant to study Spanish language and culture for a short period of time. More recently, from 2019 to 2021, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Strategic Communications & Social Media from Bowling Green State University. Additionally, in 2011, Emily achieved the Girl Scout Gold Award from Girl Scouts of the USA.
