Nienke Wevers

Nienke Wevers is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the field of biology services, currently serving as the Director of Biology Services at MIMETAS since January 2015. In this role, Nienke leads the fee-for-service branch, developing innovative in vitro models for pharmaceutical clients, overseeing project supervision, customer interactions, budget management, and stakeholder engagement. Nienke's expertise encompasses a range of positions from Senior Scientist to Junior Scientist, with responsibilities including the management of grant projects, supervision of junior staff, and the development of advanced organ and disease models. Nienke holds a PhD in Neuroscience from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, with prior degrees in Neurosciences and Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences.
