Petter Alexanderson

Petter Alexanderson has a strong background in UX design and research, spanning over two decades. Petter is currently the Head of Design at Min Doktor since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked at IKEA as a Senior Product UX Designer and Researcher from August 2019 to March 2022. Petter also held the position of UX Design Specialist at Volvo Car Denmark from December 2018 to September 2019. Before that, they worked at Sony Mobile Communications for several years, first as a Senior Interaction Designer from February 2011 to August 2015, and then as a Senior UX Designer from August 2015 to December 2018. Petter started their career at Sony Ericsson as a Lead Interaction Designer from 2006 to 2011. Petter's earlier experience includes roles as a Researcher and PhD candidate at Lund University from January 2001 to August 2006, an Instructor and Course Manager at SLAO from January 1997 to 2005, and a Team Leader & Instructor at Idre Fjäll from November 1996 to May 2001. Petter also worked as a Researcher at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden and as an HCI and usability expert at icon medialab from January 1999 to January 2001.

Petter Alexanderson has a strong educational background in the field of informatics, interaction design, and related areas. Petter completed their Master's degree in Informatics and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) from Lund University in 1997. Later, they pursued a Ph.D. at Lund University, specializing in Informatics and Interaction Design, which was completed in 2006.

Throughout their career, Petter has continued to enhance their skills and knowledge through various short-term programs and certifications. In 2015, they attended a program at Lorensberg focused on behavioral sciences, specifically "Leading People When You Are Not a Manager." In 2016, they undertook two programs at Adaptive Path, with one focused on service design and the other on design strategy.

In 2019, Petter participated in the "Storytelling Strategies and Techniques" program at CIID Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design. Petter also completed a course on Adobe Premiere at Batteri in the same year. Additionally, they attended the Aros Business Academy in 2019 for a program on graphic facilitation.

Continuing their professional development, Petter engaged in learning experiences in 2020. Petter completed the "Design Thinking - Foundational Skills & Mindset" program from IDEO Learning Experience.

In 2021, Petter pursued further expertise by enrolling in the Userzoom Academy for an advanced certification in Userzoom, a specialized field in the realm of user experience. Petter also attended the Deque University for a course on Accessibility Fundamentals, focusing on disabilities, guidelines, and laws.
