Achu Govind Kumar

Achu Govind Kumar has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Achu Govind started their career as a cashier at Tesco in 2012 before moving on to work as an engineering intern at Senior Flexonics in 2013. In 2015, they became a quality engineer at the same company. Achu then worked as a lecturer at Kolej WIT in 2018, teaching mechanical engineering subjects on a part-time basis. From 2017 to 2019, they volunteered as the YMS Chairman at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, where they coordinated student chapters and young members in Malaysia. Achu also started their own business, AGK Industries, in 2019. Achu Govind has held various roles at Minconsult Sdn Bhd since 2016, including project engineer, engineer, and project manager, where they were involved in project management, technical evaluations, and coordination with authorities and contractors. Achu's most recent work experience is as a project engineer for Gurun Power Generation, where they are responsible for technical and project team activities.

Achu Govind Kumar has a diverse education history spanning multiple institutions and degrees. In 2009, Achu completed their high school education at SMK Sri Andalas in Klang. Following this, in 2010, they enrolled in Sunway University to pursue the Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY) program.

In 2011, Achu began their undergraduate studies at Monash University, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. They completed their Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) (B.E.) degree in 2014.

After gaining some work experience, Achu decided to further their education and enrolled in Heriot-Watt University in 2018. There, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Construction Project Management. This program lasted until 2021.

Additionally, Achu obtained several certifications throughout their academic journey. In 2015, they became a Graduate Engineer recognized by the Board of Engineers Malaysia. They also became an Associate Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and a Graduate Member of The Institution of Engineers Malaysia in the same year.

Furthermore, Achu obtained the following certifications: Certified Environmental Professional in Scrubber Operation (CePSO) from the Department of Environment Malaysia in 2019, Equality & Diversity certification from iHASCO eLearning in 2019, GDPR Essentials certification from iHASCO eLearning in 2020, and Sustainable Energy: Design a Renewable Future certification from Delft University of Technology in 2022.
