Poppy Martin

Poppy Martin has been working as a Lead Research Scientist at Mind Foundry since 2022. Prior to this, they were a Senior Research Scientist at QinetiQ from 2016 to 2022, where they worked on a variety of projects within multidisciplinary teams, developing code in C++, Python, IDL and C#. Poppy also successfully debugged legacy code and improved its reliability. From 2012 to 2016, they were an Intern at Renishaw, where they removed cosmic rays from spectra using a combination of filtering techniques, developing code in Matlab and creating a graphical user interface for customers.

Poppy Martin completed their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Southampton in 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Physics in Astrophysics with a year abroad from the same university between 2008 and 2012.
