Melissa Hart has a diverse work experience spanning several roles in the healthcare industry. Melissa started their career in 2010 as an Inpatient Utilization Review Nurse/Case Manager at Colorado West Healthcare System before becoming the Department Director of Case Management and Home Health in 2012. In 2015, Melissa joined Home Care of the Grand Valley as a Case Manager, followed by a role as a Clinical Improvement Coordinator at Colorado West Healthcare System, dba Community Hospital. Melissa then worked as a Medical Case Manager at Western Colorado Health Network DBA Western Colorado AIDS Project in 2018. Most recently, Melissa has been with Mind Springs Health & West Springs Hospital, where they began as a Utilization Review Nurse in 2019. Melissa then transitioned to the role of Quality Assurance Improvement RN before assuming their current position as the Inpatient Director of Quality & Compliance. Melissa's experience includes coordinating and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of quality data collection, participating in quality improvement activities, developing and presenting quality and infection control reports, and providing reports and data for evaluation by hospital boards and committees.

Our therapists are also available in many of western slope schools and primary care offices. And, Mind Springs Health's TeleHealth network allows patients & psychiatrists to meet over a secure video connection regardless of where both are located. For psychiatric hospitalization, West Springs Hospital is the only psychiatric hospital between Denver and Salt Lake City, and the need for it grows. Because there are not enough psychiatric hospital beds in Colorado, West Springs Hospital, located in Grand Junction, serves the entire state as well as surrounding areas of Utah and Wyoming with its 32 beds.
