Davina P. Durgana, PhD has extensive work experience in various research and academic roles. Davina P. has been associated with the Minderoo Foundation since 2012, where they have served as a Quantitative Research Lead and Report Co-Author for the Global Slavery Index, as well as a Senior Multilateral Engagement Adviser. Davina P. also worked as a Senior Statistician and Report Co-Author for the Global Slavery Index from 2015 to 2020, and as a Statistical Researcher and Report Co-Author (part-time) from 2012 to 2015.

In addition, Dr. Durgana has held Senior Visiting Faculty positions at the Department of Statistics and Green Templeton College, both at the University of Oxford, starting in 2021 and 2020 respectively. Davina P. has also worked as a Faculty at the National Defense University's College of International Security Affairs since 2020.

Between 2014 and 2020, Dr. Durgana was a Senior Practitioner Faculty and Assistant Professor at the SIT Graduate Institute. During this time, they taught research methods, data analysis, and data visualization to graduate students, with a focus on international development, human trafficking, migration flows, and research design/implementation. Davina P. was also involved in the development of the Human and Inclusive Security Certificate program.

Earlier in their career, they served as a PhD Candidate and Adjunct Instructor in International Relations, with a specialization in Human Trafficking, at American University from 2012 to 2015. Davina P. also worked as a Senior Trafficking Advisor and Research Collaborative Director at SeraphimGLOBAL in 2013, and as a Faculty member for the NSLC Program in Global Public Health in Crisis at Harvard University in the same year.

Dr. Durgana's diverse work experience also includes a brief stint as a Personal Democracy Fellow for Technology and Social Change at Google in 2013. Davina P. has also worked at The White House, first as an Associate in the Office of Presidential Personnel from 2012 to 2013, and later as a White House Intern in the Office of the Vice President in 2012.

Davina P. Durgana, PhD has a diverse education history. In 2015, they obtained their PhD in International Relations from American University, with a focus on Human Trafficking and Statistics. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2012, they completed a Master's degree in International Affairs, Conflict Resolution, and Civil Society Development at The American University of Paris, and also a Master's 1 Certificat in Sciences Politiques from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne. In 2010, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Affairs and Conflict Resolution from The George Washington University. Recently, in 2020, Durgana obtained a graduate certificate in Machine Learning: From Data to Decisions from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Chartered Statistician from the Royal Statistical Society and as an Accredited Professional Statistician from the American Statistical Association - ASA. Furthermore, they are also an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certified by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
