Stefan Schmautz has had a varied work experience, beginning in 2011. In that year, they were a Research Assistant at the Technical University Munich, an Analyst at Impact Invest GmbH, and a Project Student at prevero. In 2012, they were a Working Student/Consultant at Dr. Wieselhuber & Partner GmbH and an Intern at the same company. In 2014, they were a Working Student/Consultant at BearingPoint, a Senior Expert Digitization, Machine Learning/AI at HypoVereinsbank - UniCredit - Deutschland, a Business Manager Transformation & Development/Cost Management at the same company, a Strategic Consultancy Senior Professional at UniCredit Management Consultancy, a Strategic Consultancy Professional at the same company, and a Trainee at the same company. In 2018, they were a Bank's Representative in the working group "Data & Artificial Intelligence" at the Association of German Banks (BdB). Currently, Stefan is a Datapreneur & CFO at Mindfuel.

Stefan Schmautz obtained their Master of Science in Management & Technology (Finance, Computer Science) from the Technical University of Munich between 2008 and 2014. Stefan also studied B.Sc. modules in Corporate Finance and Computer Science at The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University between 2010 and 2011. In addition, they have obtained certifications in Artificial Intelligence - Implications for Business Strategy from the MIT Sloan School of Management in 2018, BerkeleyX - Foundations of Data Science from edX, Data Science: Machine Learning from HarvardX, and Professional Scrum Master from Scrum.org.
