Paul Miles

Paul Miles is an experienced data scientist currently working at Mindset Medical since May 2022 and previously at Kaiser Permanente from February 2020 to April 2022. Paul founded Aviametrics, Inc. in November 2015, leading research and development efforts until February 2020. Prior to this entrepreneurial venture, Paul was a research scientist at Southwest Research Institute from July 2008 to April 2014, where contributions were made to optical and detector needs within space- and ground-based astrophysics and planetary instruments. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics from The University of Texas at San Antonio, completed in 2015, a Master’s Degree in Physics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and dual Bachelor's Degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Astronomy from the same institution. Paul also engaged in doctoral research focusing on the study of Mercury's neutral molecular exosphere during a tenure as a doctoral candidate from May 2014 to May 2015.
