Silmi Khanfir

Silmi Khanfir has over 20 years of work experience, primarily in the technology industry. Silmi currently holds the position of Director of Cloud and XaaS - Middle East and Africa at Mindware, a role they started in 2021. Before this, Silmi worked at IBM from 2000 to 2021, where they held various roles and responsibilities. At IBM, they served as the Storage Channel Sales Leader - Middle East, Africa and Turkey, achieving budget and double-digit growth. Silmi also developed the regional Storage Channel Transformation Strategy and led the regional channel sales and technical teams. Prior to this, they held the position of Business Development Executive and Alliances Leader - Middle East, Africa and Turkey, where they built strong partnerships with global and regional SI's and ISV's. Before joining IBM, Silmi worked at IBM Germany in roles such as Systems Sales Representative, Team Leader of Strategic Outsourcing, IT Architect of Solution Design, and IT Specialist of eBusiness Hosting, gaining experience in sales, project management, and technical solution design.

Silmi Khanfir attended Leibniz Universität Hannover from 1993 to 2000, where they earned a Dipl.Ing. (MSc) degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology.
