Careen Madzore

Careen Madzore has 15 years of work experience in various roles within the mining industry. Careen started their career as a learner Geological Technician at Anglo American - Unki Mine in 2008, where they gained experience in grade control, geological disturbances reporting, and sample preparation. Careen then progressed to the role of Geological Technician, where they performed tasks such as reef marking, XRF analysis, and collecting face measurements. In 2010, they joined Fabchem Mining as a Technical Sales Representative for Africa, responsible for sales and customer support. Careen then worked as a Strata Control Officer at Anglo American - Unki Mine, where they assessed safety risks, evaluated ground conditions, and recommended support methods for underground excavations. Later, in 2022, they joined OPTRON (Pty) Ltd as a Mining Business Development Manager, focusing on identifying business opportunities and establishing contacts with key players in the African mining market.
