Ellen Laber

Ellen Laber has over 30 years of experience in the medical writing field. Ellen began their career in 1990 as a Research Assistant at UC San Diego. Ellen then worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University from 1996 to 1999. In 1999, they joined Amgen as a Senior Manager Regulatory Writing and Senior Scientist Medicinal Chemistry. From 2010 to 2013, they were an Independent Consultant Medical Writing at EGL medwrite. Ellen then worked as a Director Medical Writing at KYTHERA Biopharmaceuticals from 2013 to 2015. From 2015 to 2017, they were a Director Global Medical Writing at Allergan Pharmaceuticals. From 2017 to 2020, they were an Independent Consultant Medical Writing at Sienna Biopharmaceuticals. Since 2021, they have been an Independent Consultant Medical Writing at AnaptysBio. Ellen is currently a Senior Medical Writer at Seagen, a position they have held since 2022.

Ellen Laber has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Duke University (1986-1990), a PhD in Organic Chemistry from UC San Diego (1990-1996), and a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Organic Chemistry from Stanford University (1996-1998). Ellen also holds an AMWA Writing and Editing Certification from the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA).
