Dimitrios Leontaras

Dimitrios Leontaras has a strong background in the maritime industry, with over a decade of experience. Dimitrios began their career as a Trainee Superintendent Engineer at Swiss Marine S.A. in 2006. Dimitrios then moved on to Valiant Shipping S.A., where they worked as a Superintendent Engineer from 2007 to 2009. Dimitrios continued to advance their career at Medcare Shipping S.A., where they held the position of Superintendent Engineer from 2009 to 2011. Currently, Dimitrios is working at Minerva Marine Inc. and has held two roles within the company. Dimitrios started as a Senior Superintendent Engineer in 2012 and recently transitioned to the role of Technical Head of Fleet in March 2021.

Dimitrios Leontaras completed their education at Newcastle University. From 2001 to 2004, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Marine Engineering. Following this, from 2004 to 2005, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Naval Architecture from the same university.
