Senior Director, Strategic Communications at Minerva Project

Diana El-Azar has over 20 years of professional experience. Diana began their career in 1997 as a Trade Information Officer for UNDP/Ministry of Finance. In 1998, they took on multiple roles at Reuters and also began teaching Economics at the American University of Beirut. In 2006, they joined the World Economic Forum where they held various roles, including Head of Marketing and Outreach, Member of Executive Committee, Senior Director, Media, Entertainment and Information industries, Director, Media, Entertainment and Information industries, Associate Director, Media and Entertainment (Global Leadership Fellow), Senior Manager, Media and Entertainment (Global Leadership Fellow), and Senior Manager, Media and Entertainment (Global Leadership Fellow). Most recently, in 2020, they joined Minerva Project as Senior Director, Strategic Communications.

Diana El-Azar obtained their B.A. (cum laude) in Economics from the American University of Beirut between 1992 and 1995. Diana then went on to earn an M. Phil in Economics of Developing Countries from the University of Cambridge between 1995 and 1996. After that, they obtained a Certificate in Marketing from New York University between 2002 and 2004. Finally, they earned a Masters in Global Leadership from the World Economic Forum in 2008.
