Msc Sten Verland

Sten Verland, PhD MSc, has extensive experience in various roles within the life science and venture capital industries. Sten is a General Partner (founding partner) at Sunstone Life Science Ventures since 2007. Verland has also held positions as a Non Executive Director at Stipe Therapeutics, Minervax ApS, and Anergis SA. Additionally, they served as a Panel Member at The Research Council of Norway starting from 2020. Verland has been involved in Innovation Fund Denmark, holding positions on various selection committees. Sten is also the CEO & Owner of Verland Capital since 1994. Verland has served as a Board Observer and a Non Executive Director at Vaximm AG and as a Non Executive Director at OxThera. Within Orphazyme A/S, they have held multiple roles, including Member of the Audit Committee, Member of the Nomination Committee, and Non Executive Director.

Sten Verland, PhD MSc, pursued their education at the University of Copenhagen. From 1979 to 1986, they completed their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biology and Mathematics. Following this, they furthered their studies at the same university from 1988 to 1990, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Immunology.
