We are looking to add an experienced Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) to join our Finance team in Vancouver, B.C. Reporting to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, the SFA will be a key member of the finance team that delivers the annual budget, monthly P&L reporting to our Executive Leadership Team and ad-hoc analyses in support of various businesses units.  The ideal candidate will be a detail oriented self-starter that enjoys developing innovative solutions. Creativity and flexibility will be keys to being successful in this role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with peers & leaders across the company to develop and refine financial analysis.
  • Share your financial knowledge with your peers and improve financial acumen across the organization.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating monthly forecast and budget models as needed.
  • Responsible for the preparation, analysis and review of the monthly financial performance report for multiple departments (departmental variance analysis).
  • Key supporter of the consolidated budget process and rolling forecast updates.
  • Contributes to preparation of various analyses and corporate presentations for senior and executive management, the Board of Directors, investors, and lenders.
  • Work with senior leaders, finance management and peers on strategic and ad hoc projects as they arise, including cross-functional marketing, account management and revenue operation teams.
  • Additional duties as occasionally required by your manager.

Qualifications:

  • High degree of personal accountability and growth mindset.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • CPA Designation is required (CFA / MBA may be considered).
  • 5-7 years of work experience including 1-3 years in FPA that includes budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, and process improvements for efficiencies.
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter, with ability to work independently and with teams from various departments.
  • Must have experience working in Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Experience working with Jet Reporting or equivalent FP&A tool considered favorably.
  • Health & Safety conscious individual.
  • Legally able to work in Canada.
