Fatemeh Shafie

Fatemeh Shafie has work experience in various roles and organizations. In 2011, they worked as a lecturer at Islamic Azad University (IAU) until 2015. From 2017 to 2021, they served as a Teacher Assistant at Simon Fraser University and also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant until 2020. In 2022, they joined The University of British Columbia as a Science Researcher in Graphics and Computer Vision, where they implemented algorithms to improve the performance of pose estimation and worked on anonymizing pictures and videos. Fatemeh also completed a Summer Project during this time. In 2023, they began their role as an Intermediate Data Scientist at MineSense Technologies Ltd.

Fatemeh Shafie earned a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Isfahan in 2008. Fatemeh then pursued a Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Isfahan and graduated in 2011. Concurrently, they also completed a master degree in Applied Mathematics and pure mathematics from Isfahan University of Medical Sciences.

In 2017, Fatemeh Shafie enrolled at Simon Fraser University, where they received a Master's degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics in 2020.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Fatemeh Shafie has obtained several certifications. In 2022, they completed the Basic SQL certification from HackerRank, the Certificate Of Completion _ Business Analysis Foundations from LinkedIn, and the Certificate of completion the complete SQL course 2022-SQL server from Udemy. Fatemeh also completed a certification in Convolutional Neural Network from Coursera in 2021.
