Development Unit Lead at Miniclip

Fernando Fonseca has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Fernando started their career in 2011 as the Management of Jobs, Formation, and Entrepreneurship Department at Taguspark campus at AEIST - IST Student Association. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as an Intern at the National Institute of Informatics, where they developed 3D simulation games and integrated applications with Facebook. Fernando also worked on projects involving Microsoft Kinect and iOS devices.

In 2013, Fernando worked as an Indie Game Developer at blooq - Android Game and as a Researcher at INESC-ID. At INESC-ID, they developed prototypes using Oculus RIFT and Optical Tracking for immersive 3D sketching and worked on projects related to tabletop interactions techniques and cultural heritage presentation.

In 2014, they joined BOLD International as a Unity3D Developer, responsible for developing multi-platform Serious Games to treat cognitive problems. Fernando utilized Unity 3D with C# and implemented RESTful services and TCP/IP connections for data exchange and in-app messaging.

Since 2015, Fernando has been working at Miniclip, initially starting as a Software Developer and progressing to roles such as Lead Developer, Development Lead, and currently as a Development Unit Lead. The specific responsibilities and achievements in these roles are not provided.

Fernando Fonseca has a strong educational background in the field of Computer and Information Sciences. Fernando earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from Instituto Superior Técnico, where they studied from 2005 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, Fernando has obtained two certifications. In December 2019, they became a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) through the Scrum Alliance. Most recently, in October 2021, they achieved the Certified LeSS Practitioner designation from The LeSS Company.
