Gareth Mooney has a diverse work experience in the field of art and animation. Gareth has worked as a Senior Artist at Miniclip since March 2020. Prior to that, they were an Artist at EightPixelsSquare from December 2012 to March 2020. Before that, they worked as an Environment Artist at Eurocom from March 2004 to November 2012. Gareth also gained experience as an Environment Artist at Extreme FX, where they worked on the development team for a PC game called Apocalyptica published by Konami. Gareth was responsible for designing, modeling, texturing, and lighting the game levels. Gareth started their career as an Animator at 3D Films, where they worked on a computer animated children's TV series called "Wheels on the Bus" for ITV. Gareth was part of a team that handled all aspects of the animation process.
Gareth Mooney began their education at Wrockwardine Wood Secondary School, where they completed their GCSEs from 1990 to 1995. Gareth then attended Telford New College from 1995 to 1997, where they pursued A levels in Biology, Physics, and General Studies, and AS levels in Chemistry and IT. Gareth then furthered their education at the University of the West of England from 1997 to 1999, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Software Engineering. Afterward, they attended Shrewsbury College of Art and Technology from 1999 to 2000, completing a BTEC degree in Foundation in Art & Design.
