Manuel Barbosa

Manuel Barbosa has a diverse range of work experience in the technology and digital media industry. Manuel began their career at Accedo Interactive Agency in 2001 as a Flash Developer and Coach, where they managed and coached a team and was responsible for the Flash/Actionscript department. In 2006, they joined EPI as a Lead Webdesigner and Senior Flash Developer before moving back to Accedo Interactive Agency as a Senior Flash Developer and Coach. In 2008, Manuel joined Fullsix Portugal as a Senior Multimedia Developer and Team Coach, where they stayed until 2015. During this time, they also worked as the Head of Digital Media at Normajean for a short period. From 2015 to 2018, Manuel worked at Mindbus Portugal as a Software Engineer. Currently, they are employed at Miniclip as a Game Developer and has recently been promoted to the role of Lead Developer.

Manuel Barbosa's education history begins in 1991 when they attended Delfim dos Santos school for the 5th and 6th grades. From 1993 to 1999, they studied at Escola Secundária Rainha Dona Leonor, where they completed their 7th to 12th grades, focusing on arts.

In 2000, Manuel enrolled in IADE - Instituto Superior de Arte, Design e Marketing, where they pursued a degree in Communication Design. Manuel completed their degree in five years, graduating in 2005.

Throughout their education, Manuel also obtained several additional certifications. In 2008, they became a certified Scrum Master through Mitch Lacey's program. The following year, in 2009, they earned the Adobe Certified Expert in Adobe Flash CS4 certification from Adobe. In 2010, they participated in the Accelerating Creativity Workshop in AS3 conducted by Joshua Davis.

Most recently, in March 2022, Manuel obtained the Agile Retrospective: Continuous Improvement+Kaizen with Scrum certification from Udemy. Manuel also attended the Group 94 Workshop @ OFFF in 2008, although the exact month is unspecified.
