Thomas Lornsen, Ph.D., has extensive experience in teaching and localization within the fields of English and German studies. Currently serving as a teacher at Champlain College since August 2011, Thomas teaches various English courses and has engaged in committee work and co-coordination of the English Department. Additionally, Thomas holds multiple roles in localization, functioning as a Localization QA Specialist for Terra Localizations and MoGi Group, focusing on quality assurance and translation for video games. As a marker for the English Exit Exam with the Ministère de l'Éducation du Québec and a former IB Examiner for German, Thomas has contributed to educational assessment. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in German Studies from McGill University, along with master's degrees from the University of Waterloo and the University of Mannheim. Teaching experience spans multiple institutions, including Vanier College, the University of New Brunswick, McGill University, and Bishop's University.
