Steve Barbour

Steve Barbour has over 30 years of work experience in various roles and companies. Steve began their career in the United States Army, where they served as an Investigator and managed a US Customs field office. Following their military service, they worked as a Salesperson for ComputerWorks. Steve then transitioned into the software development field, starting at Marion Composites as a Software Developer and later moving to Holston Medical Group as a Software Developer and Database Administrator. At Edfinancial Services, they worked as a Software Engineer, focusing on agile software development and improving the online loan process. Steve then worked as a Senior Software Developer for Bechtel International, where they played a key role in developing Bechtel's "Next Generation" software and teaching methods for developing SOAP and REST web services. Steve later joined Cellular Sales, where they served as a Senior Software Developer and eventually became the Manager of Application Development, overseeing a team responsible for maintaining and improving a Point of Sale and Credit Card Processing system. Most recently, they worked at Ministry Brands as a Lead Developer and currently holds the position of Manager of Software Development at Payment Brands. Throughout their career, Steve has demonstrated strong technical skills in various programming languages and technologies, such as C#, ASP.NET, WCF, and SQL. Steve has also showcased their leadership abilities by recruiting and mentoring developers and ensuring appropriate architecture across applications.

Steve Barbour received a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from East Tennessee State University between 2003 and 2005. Prior to that, they attended Science Hill High School.
