Ken Allen currently serves as a Senior Advisor for Strategic Engagement at Fisheries New Zealand under the Ministry for Primary Industries since March 2021. Additionally, Ken has been a Board Trustee for Wellington Community Trust since July 2018 and previously held similar roles at Newtown Community and Cultural Centre and Kaibosh Food Rescue. A contractor for Community Housing Aotearoa Nga Wharerau o Aotearoa between June 2019 and February 2021, Ken contributed to a social housing funding research project. Ken's diverse experience also includes administrative roles and voluntary positions in various organizations dedicated to community and social development. In terms of education, Ken holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Victoria University of Wellington and a Level 4 Diploma in Te Reo Maori from Te Wānanga o Aotearoa, among other qualifications in finance and law.
