Tanya McCarthy

Tanya McCarthy is a seasoned professional in the field of human resources and people management, currently serving as a Senior Advisor in People and Culture at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment since March 2021. Tanya has held various roles within the same organization, including P&C Advisor, People Hub Advisor, and Assistant People Hub Advisor. Previously, Tanya worked as a Process Leader at the New Zealand Electoral Commission and as an Assistant Human Resources Advisor at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment from July 2016 to June 2018. Tanya began her career as a Customer Service Specialist in Child Support at Inland Revenue NZ. Tanya holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Management and International Business from Victoria University of Wellington, a Certificate of Proficiency in Employment Law from Open Polytechnic of New Zealand, and an A2 level in French from Alliance française de Toulouse.
