Geewon Yoo

Geewon Yoo serves as Assistant Director in the International Sports Division at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism since December 2021. Prior to this role, Geewon was an Assistant to the Swiss Timing Result Manager during the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games, effectively managing volunteer training and operations for badminton events. Experience includes a Coordination Officer position at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, assisting with the 2021 P4G Seoul Summit's live virtual interactions and protocol management. Geewon has also interned with the International Sport-Strategy Foundation, focusing on translations and promoting youth leadership initiatives. Early career involvement includes logistics and volunteer management at the Pyeongchang Organizing Committee for the 2018 Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games. Geewon holds a Bachelor's degree in Health Policy & Management from Korea University and has studied at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
