Mohannad Ashgar

Mohannad Ashgar, CICA, currently serves as the General Manager of Internal Audit at the Ministry of Culture since June 2020, having previously held the position of Corporate Internal Audit Director. Prior experience includes a role as Director of Governance for PIF Projects at the Public Investment Fund from April 2019 to March 2020, and Executive Director of Support Services at the National Center for Performance Measurement between June 2017 and December 2018. Mohannad’s auditing expertise was further developed during tenure as Senior Auditor at the National Commercial Bank from June 2014 to May 2017, and as Assistant Manager of Internal Audit at TAMER before that. Mohannad began a career in auditing with Aramco from 2001 to 2013, where multiple roles including Internal Auditor provided substantial experience in Operations Accounting, Contracts Administration, and Petrochemical Production. Educational qualifications include an Executive Training in The Leadership Experience from Hult Ashridge Executive Education (2018 - Present) and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from The American University in Cairo (2002 - 2007).
