Lloyd Kyungchul Nam

Lloyd Kyungchul Nam serves as a Senior Urban Specialist at The World Bank since August 2014, providing technical advice on urban programs in South Asia. Simultaneously, Lloyd holds a position on leave of absence from the Ministry of Strategy and Finance. Previous roles include Director of Planning and Coordination for The Presidential Committee on the Young Generation of Korea, where responsibilities included launching the new presidential committee and developing youth job creation agendas, and Director in the Industrial Competitiveness Bureau of The Presidential Council on National Competitiveness of Korea, focusing on deregulating conformity assessments and policies for SMEs. Earlier experience encompasses significant roles in the Ministry of Strategy and Finance and the Ministry of Planning and Budget, where major contributions included formulating substantial national budgets and long-term infrastructure plans. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Construction Engineering and Management from Stanford University, a Master of Public Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, both from Seoul National University.
