Faris AlWohaibi is an experienced energy policy analyst and director, currently serving as the General Director of Energy Policy Analysis at the Ministry of Energy in Saudi Arabia since April 2019. With a strong background in optimizing the Kingdom's power mix and providing energy policy advisory, Faris has held various leadership roles within the ministry, including Director of the Power Division and Energy Expert. Faris has also gained experience as a Research Assistant in Energy Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focusing on electric vehicle charger utilization, and worked at Saudi Aramco in multiple engineering and planning roles. Faris holds a Master’s degree in Data, Economics, and Development Policy from MIT and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of British Columbia.
