Lennart Garritsen

Lennart Garritsen is a seasoned professional in geopolitical analysis and international relations, currently serving as Second Secretary (Political Affairs) at the Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken since April 2021. With a diverse background that includes roles as a Foreign Policy Officer and Policy Officer for Financial Economic Affairs within the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lennart has significant experience in overseeing human rights projects and managing international security budgets. Prior to this, Lennart worked at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP as an Associate specializing in EU and UK competition law, and completed internships with the World Food Programme and UNDP focused on legal and governance issues. Academic credentials include a Jurisprudence degree from the University of Oxford and a B.A. in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Utrecht University.
