Tim Wilkinson

Tim Wilkinson is a Policy Advisor in the Court Systems Policy team at the Ministry of Justice - New Zealand, serving since December 2023. Prior to this role, Tim practiced as a Solicitor at Chapman Tripp from June 2022 to December 2023, focusing on litigation in insurance, commercial, and public matters. Tim's experience includes positions such as Assistant Crown Counsel at the Crown Law Office, Junior Barrister at Bankside Chambers Limited, and Solicitor at Thomas Dewar Sziranyi Letts, with expertise in civil, family, and criminal litigation. Tim has also contributed to legal education as a Laws 101 Tutor and LAWS298 Tutor at the University of Otago, and gained early legal experience through internships and research roles, including at the Police Prosecution Service and the University of Otago Faculty of Law. Tim holds a degree from the University of Otago, completed in 2019.
