Dr. Wael S. Shalaan McIarb

Dr. Wael S. Shalaan MCIArb (PhD) is an Assistant Professor in Civil Procedures at Al-Azhar University, where teaching focuses on Civil Procedures Law and Intercontinental Commercial Arbitration. In addition to academic roles, Dr. Shalaan serves as a Legal Consultant and Legal Counselor at the Ministry of Justice in Qatar. Dr. Shalaan is also an Arbitrator listed with the Egyptian Exchange and holds memberships with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration. Previous visiting professor roles include positions at Paris ESLSCA Business School and several universities in Egypt. Dr. Shalaan's educational background includes a PhD in International Commercial Arbitration from the University of Stirling, along with multiple degrees in law and judicial sciences from renowned institutions.
