Tahani Al Zoubi, Ph.D., serves as a Senior Economist at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation since July 2023, focusing on economic research and national economic program recommendations using the CGE model, in collaboration with UNESCWA. Previously, from January 1999 to September 2019, Tahani held the position of Head of the Human Resources Planning Division, developing methodologies and strategies for workforce planning, talent acquisition, and succession planning while participating in various ministry teams aimed at enhancing governance and innovation practices. Tahani has also contributed as a Senior Researcher evaluating human capital management standards for the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence and Transparency and worked briefly as an Institutional Excellence Consultant with Hindawi Excellence Group. Academic credentials include a Doctorate in Development Economics from Peking University, a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School, and a Master’s degree in American Studies from the University of Jordan, complemented by a BA in English Language and Translation from Al-Zaytoonah University.
