Karen Cheah

Karen Cheah is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in innovation, entrepreneurship, and creative strategy. Currently serving as a Panel Member on the Pro-Enterprise Panel at the Ministry of Trade and Industry (Singapore) since 2024, Karen advocates for businesses and innovation alongside senior public officers and business leaders. As the Founder and CEO of AlterPacks since 2019, Karen leads a start-up focused on developing biodegradable materials from food waste to replace plastics. Concurrently, as Chief Product & Creative Strategist at museorg.com, Karen drives innovation and communication strategies for global media clients. Additionally, Karen holds a lecturer position at the Singapore University of Social Sciences, specializing in Media, Communications, and Public Relations. Previous experience includes roles such as General Manager at Da Vinci Media GmbH, Vice-President at Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific, and Founder of Sticks & Stones Asia. Karen Cheah holds a Master of Science in Innovation from Singapore Management University and a B.A. (Hons) in History and Mathematics from the National University of Singapore.
