Ruth Thomas possesses extensive experience in educational administration and court operations. Currently serving as a Court Clerk at the Sarasota Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller since February 2022, Ruth previously held the position of Principal in Sarasota County Schools for nearly four decades, from May 1977 to May 2016, and briefly worked as an Assistant Principal in 2018-2019. Ruth's academic background includes a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of South Florida.
