Larissa Stanberry, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the data science and biostatistics field. Larissa is currently the Director of Data Science and Investigator Initiated Research Program at the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation, a position they have held since December 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Data Science at DotLab from January 2021 to November 2021.
From 2017 to 2020, Larissa worked at the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation, initially as a Senior Biostatistician and later as the Principal Biostatistician and Manager of the Investigator Initiated Research Program. Before that, they were employed at Seattle Children's Hospital, where they held the position of Lead Data Scientist from 2015 to 2017 and Biostatistician from 2011 to 2015.
Larissa's earlier experience includes a role as a Senior Fellow at the University of Washington from 2010 to 2011 and as an Advanced Clinical Imaging Statistician at Radia from 2009 to 2010. Larissa also worked at the University of Bristol as a Lecturer in Statistics from 2008 to 2009 and as an Honorary Visiting Fellow from 2009 to 2010.

Larissa began their academic journey at St. Petersburg State University, where they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mathematics from 1990 to 1995, and graduated summa cum laude. Seeking further expertise, Larissa continued their education as a Ph.D. student at the same institution from 1995 to 1998, focusing on Mathematics. Later, they moved to the United States and attended the University of Washington, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Statistics from 2003 to 2008. Through their educational endeavors, Larissa acquired a comprehensive understanding of both mathematics and statistics, making their a highly accomplished scholar in these fields.
