Vikram V. Puram

Vikram V. Puram has a diverse work experience spanning various fields. Vikram V. started their career as a Math and Reading Instructor at Kumon in 2013. In the same year, they also served as an Advisory Council member at MacPhail Center for Music.

In 2015, Vikram worked as an Engineering Intern at Nirva Medical, LLC., where they assisted in the development of new technology to reduce heart muscle death in high-risk sudden heart attack patients.

From 2016 to 2017, they underwent Private Pilot Training at Inflight Pilot Training and later worked as a Clinical Research Associate at Hennepin County Medical Center.

Vikram joined the Biomedical Engineering Society in 2017, serving as the President of the UMN Chapter. During their tenure, they managed a team of 10 officers, organized meetings, and implemented new initiatives.

In 2019, they transitioned to the Masonic Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota, working as a Cancer Researcher specializing in cancer mechanobiology and T-cell bioengineering.

Simultaneously, Vikram worked as a Clinical Researcher at the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation from 2017 to present, conducting clinical research.

Lastly, Vikram recently started working as a Resident Doctor at Stanford University in 2022.

Throughout their career, Vikram has gained expertise in clinical research, cancer research, bioengineering, and leadership roles.

Vikram V. Puram pursued their education chronologically at three different institutions. Vikram V. began in 2002 at Edina High School, where they obtained their GED. After completing high school, they enrolled at the University of Minnesota from 2014 to 2018, majoring in Biomedical/Medical Engineering and earning a Bachelor of Science degree. Simultaneously, from 2016 to 2018, Vikram also attended Inflight Pilot Training to acquire their PPL (Private Pilot License) in the field of Aviation.
