Mary L. Brown has over 30 years of experience in marketing and strategy roles. Mary L. is currently the Sr. Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Mn Adult & Teen Challenge, where they oversee the marketing department. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at the same company since 2015.
Before joining Mn Adult & Teen Challenge, Mary served as the Vice President of Marketing at The Schwan Food Company from 2009 to 2015. During their tenure, they led the transformation of brand, product, and innovation strategies to expand the company's reach and stimulate growth. Mary L. also held the role of VP of New Ventures - Health & Wellness Strategy, where they developed strategies and innovation pipelines for emerging trends in the consumer, health, and wellness sectors.
Before their time at The Schwan Food Company, Mary worked as a Leadership and Strategy Consultant at Depth Charge Insights, LLC from 2007 to 2009. Their consulting work focused on insights, segmentation, user experience, integrated marketing strategy, and multi-channel marketing for CPG food and healthcare clients.
Earlier in their career, Mary held various marketing roles at Bolin Marketing & Advertising, CNS Inc., RBI Beauty Industries Inc., Bayer Consumer HealthCare, and Colgate Palmolive. Their experience spans strategic planning, market and brand development, innovation, and product and service commercialization.
Overall, Mary L. Brown has a diverse background in marketing and strategy across multiple industries, with a focus on driving growth and developing innovative solutions.
Mary L. Brown has a Master of Arts degree in Leadership from Augsburg University. Their undergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from Metro State University. Mary L. also pursued graduate studies in the Graduate School of Business at Indiana University South Bend. In addition to their formal education, they obtained certification as a Certified Prevention Specialist in Substance Use Prevention from the Minnesota Certification Board in July 2019.

Our mission is to assist teens and adults in gaining freedom from chemical addictions and other life controlling problems by addressing their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. For over 30 years, Mn Adult and Teen Challenge has been restoring hope to people struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. We offer effective and affordable programs throughout Minnesota with campuses in Minneapolis, Brainerd, Duluth, Rochester and Buffalo. We offer both a long-term, faith-based recovery program and short-term licensed treatment program, allowing us to effectively serve individuals with a broad spectrum of addiction issues; from those seeking treatment for the first time, to those who have been struggling with addiction for many years.
