Jamie Andrews is currently the Executive Director for the American Choral Directors Association – Minnesota, and founding member of PrimeLife Arts Learning, an online learning platform dedicated to Creative Aging. He previously served as Development Manager for the Lakeshore Players Theater, and Chief Learning Officer for Minnesota Opera where he built an array of programs for students of all ages, including the commissioning of The Song Poet, a youth opera based on Kao Kalia Yang’s novel, and NOOMA, for babies 0-2 and their caregivers. Jamie has led national working groups and presented workshops on opera education and Teaching Artistry. Before making the shift to the world of nonprofit arts, Jamie worked as a public school music educator in Forest Lake and Lester Prairie, Minnesota. Jamie earned a bachelor’s degree in music education at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and earned a Master’s degree in Arts and Cultural Management from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota.
