Peter Olson, MPA has a strong and diverse work experience as evidenced by their various roles and positions in different organizations. Peter started their career in 2013 as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Sanford Health Vermillion. From there, they moved on to work as a Development Intern at Ronald McDonald House Charities of SD, where they were responsible for business outreach, database management, and fundraising. In 2014, they also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of South Dakota.

In 2015, Peter joined the State of Minnesota Department of Transportation as a Star of the North Fellow- Management Analyst 1. Peter later transitioned to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, where they held several positions including Senior Transportation Planner, Principal Planner, and State Program Administrator Coordinator Safeguarding MnDOT. Currently, they are working as the Lead Alternative Funding and Financing Analyst in the same department.
