Craig Sondag

Craig Sondag is an accomplished political strategist and leader with extensive experience in the Minnesota Senate, currently serving as Chief of Staff since November 2019. In this role, Craig supervises over 45 staff members within the Senate Minority Caucus and assists in shaping the Caucus’s legislative priorities. Previously, Craig held the position of Chief of Staff and Executive Director to the Rules Committee, overseeing 70 staff in the Senate Majority Caucus. Craig’s career includes roles at Allianz Life as Government Relations Manager and Specialist, where legislation tracking and event organization were key responsibilities. Additionally, Craig served in the Minnesota Senate as Executive Director to the Minority Caucus and Policy Researcher, offering critical insights into legislative impacts. Craig holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Minnesota.
