Adenuga Atewologun

President, Riverland Community College at Minnesota State Colleges & Universities

Adenuga Atewologun is the current President of Riverland Community College at Minnesota State Colleges & Universities. Prior to this, Atewologun served as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty at Prairie State College from July 2009 to June 2013. In this role, Atewologun was responsible for curriculum design and assessment, faculty tenure process, establishing policies for award of academic degrees and certificates, forming external educational partnerships, setting academic calendars and developing and overseeing budget for the academic sector of the college. Atewologun also served as the college’s accreditation officer and a member of the President’s cabinet. Additionally, Atewologun served as a board member of the College Foundation. Other major responsibilities included strategic plan development and implementation, grant development, and contribution to monthly meetings of the Board of Trustees.

Before joining Prairie State College, Atewologun was an ACE Fellow at Bellevue College from August 2008 to June 2009. Prior to that, Atewologun served as Dean of Natural and Applied Sciences at College of DuPage from July 1998 to August 2008. Before serving in administration, Atewologun was a Professor of Engineering and Physics at College of DuPage from September 1990 to June 1998.

Adenuga Atewologun has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Adenuga also has a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) First Class Honors in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Ife, Ile-Ife, Nigeria.

Adenuga Atewologun reports to Devinder Malhotra, Chancellor. Adenuga Atewologun works with Eric Davis - Vice Chancellor of Human Resources, Scott R. Olson - President, Winona State University, and Andriel Dees - Vice Chancellor for Equity and Inclusion.
