Joya Stetson

Joya Stetson is an experienced professional currently serving as the Planning and Public Outreach Manager at Minnesota Valley Transit Authority since January 2024 and as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Illinois Springfield since September 2022. With a robust background in economic development, Joya held the position of Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Community and Economic Development Associates from October 2014 to December 2023 and served as the Economic Development Director for the City of Stewartville, MN during the same period. Joya also contributed as an Economic Development Consultant for People's Energy Cooperative and has experience as a Compliance Specialist with the State of Nebraska Real Property Appraiser Board. Joya's educational credentials include a Doctor of Public Administration degree from the University of Illinois Springfield, a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of South Dakota, a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature and Spanish Studies from the University of Minnesota, and a Graphic Design certificate from Minneapolis College.
