Mathieu Dallaire is a Canadian artist who specializes in creating 2D digital art for video games. Mathieu has worked as a lead artist and 2D artist for various companies, including Hibernum, Ludia, and Electronic Arts. Their most recent position is as a senior UI artist at Mino Games.
Dallaire has been working in the video game industry since 2011. Their first job was as a game artist for Playfish, where they worked on creating 2D assets for the company's social games. Mathieu then moved to Ludia, where they worked as a flash designer/animator/integrator. After a year at Ludia, Dallaire became a 2D artist for Playing Mantis - Electronic Arts. Mathieu worked on various projects at Playing Mantis, including character concepts and rendering for Plants vs Zombies: Heroes.
In 2014, Dallaire left Playing Mantis to become a freelance 2D artist. Mathieu worked on several projects during this time, including 2D asset creation for Cupcakes Carnival and background and asset creation on Agent Alice. In 2016, they returned to work full-time as a lead artist for Hibernum. During their time at Hibernum, they worked on Disney's mobile game Beauty and the Beast - Perfect Match.
Since 2017, Dallaire has been working as a senior UI artist at Mino Games. In this role, they are responsible for creating UI mockups and integrating them into Unity. Mathieu has also worked on concept art for various Mino Games projects.
Mathieu Dallaire took an Intro to 3D Modeling & Animation class at Dawson College. Mathieu then went on to study Illustration & Design at Dawson College, and finally completed their education with two courses at Schoolism.
They are on a team with Andrea Haid - 2D Animator, Ming Chen - Game Developer, and Ora Xu - 2D Artist. Their manager is Darren Pegg, CTO.
