Vyshnavi Manogaran

Sri Lanka Coordinator at Minority Rights Group

Vyshnavi Manogaran is a dedicated human rights advocate with extensive experience in legal and research roles. Currently serving as the Sri Lanka Coordinator for the Minority Rights Group since May 2024 and functioning as a Sri Lanka Researcher for the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED) since October 2022, Vyshnavi has demonstrated a commitment to addressing minority rights issues. As an Attorney at Law at the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka since August 2020, Vyshnavi's expertise includes participation in the OHCHR's Minority Fellowship Programme in 2023, representing Tamil minorities. Previous roles include consulting for the UNDP Sri Lanka on the Office on Missing Persons' capacity assessment and coordinating the Peoples Alliance for the Right to Land with Law & Society Trust. Vyshnavi holds a Master of Arts in Human Rights and Democratisation from Mahidol University and an Attorney-at-law degree from Sri Lanka Law College.
