Chief Technology Officer at MINTangible

Robert Elves is currently working as the Chief Technology Officer at MINTangible, a Web3 platform that digitally binds and displays IP license rights and terms to NFTs. Robert'sresponsibilities include protecting IP rights and the value of NFTs for creators, brands, and companies.

Prior to their current role, Robert served as the Vice President of Product Strategy at Tasktop, which was acquired by Planview Inc. in July 2022. Robert helped shape the vision for Tasktop's portfolio of products and led the Tasktop Viz product value stream. Before that, Robert held positions such as Senior Director of Product Development, Director of Engineering, Software Engineering Manager, and Software Developer and Co-founder at Tasktop.

Robert has also worked as a Research Assistant at The University of British Columbia, where they contributed to the development and management of the Eclipse Mylyn project and its open source community.

Additionally, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Victoria and as a Research Intern at the National Research Council Canada, where they conducted research on digital information navigation and acquired skills in Eclipse Plug-in Development.

Robert has also gained experience as a Software Engineer Intern and Network Architect Intern at the Communication Security Establishment. In their early career, they worked as a Network Administrator at Island Microsystems, where they designed, delivered, and administered networks for both private sector SMBs and public sector agencies. Robert was responsible for establishing hardware and software requirements and administering Linux, Windows NT, and Novell NetWare platforms with custom virtual private networks.

Throughout their career, Robert has demonstrated expertise in product strategy, engineering, development, and network administration.

Robert Elves obtained an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Victoria from 2003 to 2005. Robert also holds a Diploma in Computer Science from North Island College and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Camosun College, although the specific duration for these degrees is not provided. In addition to their formal education, Robert has obtained several certifications including the Basic Cruising Standard and Coastal Navigation Standard from Sail Canada~Voile Canada in June 2014.
