Kianna S. Phillips

Associate at Mintz

Kianna engages in an expansive array of litigation matters, including professional liability, complex commercial disputes, government investigations, and insurance disputes in both state and federal court. She also has experience with employment litigation and matters involving health law. Kianna is active in the Mintz Pro Bono practice. Specifically, she has worked with sex trafficking survivors and survivor-led sex coalitions. Further, she has assisted in drafting House Bill No. 1761 An Act to strengthen justice and support for sex trade survivors.

Prior to joining Mintz, Kianna was an associate in the Boston office of a national law firm. In that role, she advised clients in litigation, regularly drafting and arguing dispositive motions, assisting with all stages of discovery, and taking and defending depositions. She also analyzed clients’ liability risks.

While attending law school, Kianna interned in the White Collar & Public Integrity Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office and Blue Cross Blue Shield’s Law Department. She also served as a law clerk in the Professional Liability Practice at a Boston-based litigation firm. In law school, she served as vice president and chapter historian of BC Law’s Black Law Students Association.
