Yankun Yang

Yankun Yang is a seasoned software developer and computational designer with extensive experience in the architecture and design industry. Currently serving at HOK as a Software Developer since October 2023, Yankun focuses on researching and developing in-house software applications for architects. As a co-founder of Minus Design Labs since April 2022, responsibilities include coding and contributing to team projects. With a background as an Application Development Consultant since May 2015, Yankun specializes in Revit plugin development, generative design, and project management across various stakeholders. Previous roles include Senior Computational Designer at CORE studio at Thornton Tomasetti, where Yankun automated geometric operations for structural engineers, and Computational Designer at iBuilt Group, responsible for generative design algorithms. Yankun's academic credentials include an M.S. in Advanced Architecture Design from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute.
