Craig Milligan

Craig Milligan has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Craig has held various roles in different organizations.

From 2023 to the present, Craig worked at Miovision as a Road Safety Engineer and Senior Product Manager. Craig focused on building a digital approach to road safety within Miovision's traffic ecosystem. Their responsibilities included product management, sales enablement, customer success, domain leadership in road safety, and blending their previous experience with Miovision's team.

Since 2014, Craig has also been associated with Fireseeds North Infrastructure as a Road Safety Engineer and Managing Director. In this capacity, they conducted road safety audits and provided road safety audit training. Fireseeds North Infrastructure is Craig's private and part-time professional engineering corporation separate from their full-time work at Miovision.

Previously, Craig was the CEO and Road Safety Engineer at MicroTraffic from 2017 to 2023. MicroTraffic is a road safety video analytics company that focuses on helping traffic engineers understand high-risk areas. During their time at MicroTraffic, Craig successfully raised funds, built a team, reached over 100 cities, and formed partnerships with major companies before being acquired by Miovision in February 2022.

In 2013, Craig worked as a Road Safety Engineer for the Government of Manitoba. Craig was responsible for road safety-related tasks during their one-year tenure.

From 2010 to 2014, Craig worked at the University of Manitoba as a Consulting Road Safety Engineer, Researcher, Instructor, and Vanier Scholar. Craig conducted road safety audits, analyzed road safety network data, and developed risk forecasting research that was published in top-tier journals. Additionally, they taught transportation engineering and engineering economics during this period.

In 2012, Craig had a short-term contract as a Road Safety Engineer at The World Bank. Craig provided expert advisory services related to road safety assessments and supported the bank's development policy objectives in this area.

Craig's work experience also includes roles at Power to Change, KGS Group, and Windigo First Nations Tribal Council. At Power to Change, they served as Team Director/Team Member, providing leadership, teaching, and mentoring. At KGS Group, they worked as an Engineering Aide in civil infrastructure and transportation engineering. At Windigo First Nations Tribal Council, they served as an Engineering Aide specifically focused on indigenous community water treatment plants.

Craig Milligan obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Manitoba, starting in 2002 and completing it in 2006. Craig then pursued a higher level of education at the same institution, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Transportation Engineering from 2010 to 2014. In March 2014, Milligan obtained the Professional Engineer (MB, ON) certification from EGM and PEO institutions.
