Sahar Khawar

Sahar Khawar has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Sahar'smost recent position was with MiQ as an Associate Trader, where they gained experience in trading. Prior to that, they worked as a Trading Intern at the same company. Sahar also has experience in marketing and membership roles at BCIT Marketing Association (BCITMA). Sahar served as the VP of Membership, responsible for recruiting and communicating with new members, as well as organizing recruitment events. Sahar also worked as a Peer Mentor and in a creative and branding role at BCITMA. At EPIK (English Program in Korea), Sahar worked as an English Teacher, creating interactive lesson plans and organizing creative summer and winter English camps. Sahar also has experience in the hospitality sector, having worked at Canucks Sports & Entertainment (CSE) as a Hospitality QS Supervisor and Hospitality Beer Server, where they supervised staff, resolved customer issues, and managed inventory. Sahar has also worked as an ESL English Teacher and Activities Leader at Global Village Career Training Centre, where they designed engaging lesson plans and led students in various activities. Sahar also gained office administration and supervisory experience at Peqish Food Company, where they processed orders, managed phone inquiries, and oversaw catering delivery.

Sahar Khawar's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology from The University of British Columbia, completed from 2012 to 2015. Currently, Sahar is pursuing a Marketing/Marketing Management program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, which started in 2021 and is expected to finish in 2023. Additionally, Sahar has obtained various certifications related to marketing and email automation. These certifications include Social Media Marketing Certification and Hootsuite Platform Certification from Hootsuite Academy, obtained in May and April 2023, respectively. Sahar also obtained certifications in Email Automations, Email Marketing, and Mailchimp Foundations from Intuit Mailchimp in November 2022.
