Stuart Kozlick, P.Eng., MASc., has extensive work experience in executive leadership, operations, strategy, technical and business consulting services in the medtech, biotech, and high-technology industries. Stuart has held multiple roles as a 'Fractional' Executive, Board Member, and Advisor for various organizations since 2019.
In 2023, Kozlick joined NGen Canada as the Vice President of Strategy, Development, and Commercialization. In this role, they are focused on building world-leading advanced manufacturing capabilities in Canada and driving advancements in greenhouse gas reduction, environmental sustainability, health and safety, and supply chain resilience.
Kozlick is also a Professor of Practice at McGill University, where they lecture in the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences, as well as the Departments of Bioengineering & Mechanical Engineering and the McGill Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship. Stuart provides guidance and mentorship to students and faculty members on various topics related to medical technology.
Additionally, Kozlick has served as a Strategic Advisor for Miraki Innovation and ScrubChart.AI, as well as a Senior Strategic Advisor for LFAnt Medical and Momentum Health. Stuart is an Advisory Board Member for RTI and a Member of the Board of Directors for Health Technology Catalyst | CTS and Institut TransMedTech de Montréal.
With their diverse expertise and leadership roles, Kozlick has made significant contributions to the advancement of medical technology and the growth of the advanced manufacturing sector in Canada.
Stuart Kozlick, P.Eng., MASc. obtained their education as follows:
- From 2008 to 2013, Stuart attended Concordia University, where they pursued a Master of Applied Science (M.A.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Prior to that, they attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2008, where they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Mechanical & Biomedical Engineering.
- Stuart began their undergraduate studies at Concordia University in 2001 and completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2005.
- Before attending university, Stuart obtained a Diploma of Collegial Studies in Pure & Applied Sciences from Dawson College, where they studied from 1998 to 2001.
- Finally, Stuart completed their high school education at Herzliah High School from 1993 to 1998 and obtained their High School Diploma.
In addition to their formal education, Stuart has also acquired several certifications throughout their career:
- In 2021, they became a Member of the American College of Clinical Engineering.
- In 2014, Stuart obtained the DFSS-DRM Black Belt certification from Medtronic.
- In the same year, they also became a Professional Engineer, obtaining the certification from Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
- In 2012, Stuart acquired the DFSS-DRM Green Belt certification from Medtronic.
- Prior to that, in 2009, they became a Professional Engineer certified by the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
